Clinical Supervision
I provide clinical supervision towards licensure for LPC and LMFT Associates in OR and WA. I am an Approved Supervisor with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists with over 5 years of experience supervising folks in a variety of clinical settings.
I believe that new clinicians deserve strong support as they build their clinical foundation. We will focus on development of clinical skills, ethics, use-of-self, building sustainable practices, and examining issues of power, privilege and inequity. I draw from multiple approaches to supervision including Relational Cultural Theory, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy, and utilize creative arts approaches in the supervision process, if desired. I strive to provide a space in supervision that balances support and challenge. I want supervision to be a place where supervisees can feel comfortable bringing their whole authentic self and courageously examine both the joys and struggles of their work.
I can provide supervision for clinicians working in agencies or group practice settings, with children and families, adolescents, individual adults, and groups. Your employer may provide you with a stipend to cover some of the supervision cost. I do not currently offer supervision to associates in solo private practice.
For new supervisees, I require two professional references prior to beginning the supervision process. Please contact me at beth@truenorthcreativecounseling.com if you would like to talk further about whether we would be a match to work together for your supervision.
